Southwold Computers Terms of Service

These are the terms and conditions for the services provided by Southwold Computers to you, the customer. By ordering any service or product you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

My Services

I provide I.T. services to Home Users of Microsoft Windows™ Computers and a limited service to Apple Mac such as Printer, Broadband and Email issues. I also provide the following services. Minor Android Tablet and iPad issues, Minor Android and iPhone issues, Broadband and email issues.

On-Site and Off-Site

Most repairs are carried out at Home users premises there are times however when I have to complete repairs at my registered address.

Cancelling, changing or missed appointments

Cancelling within 24 hours of appointment: No charge.

Cancelling on day of appointment: No charge if I can replace with other jobs.

Missed Appointment: Where I have called out to your home or business and you are not in I will invoice for 1 hour of my time currently £35.

Data Backup

It is the customers responsibilty to keep a computers data backed up to an external device. If a repair requires me to wipe the hard drive (thereby wiping the data) then a charge will be made if I am requested to complete a backup of documents, photos, videos, music etc before wiping the hard drive.


It is important to keep your Windows™ Operating System software if originally supplied with your computer, or have made restore discs or USB memory sticks restore images and valid, original and licensed versions of any software required, (unless being supplied by me) Please note that we will not use, install or configure any unlicensed, copied or counterfeit software.


Consumer: Payment is required on successful completion of repair by Cash, Cheque or Credit/Debit card.

Business: I no longer offer services to business.

When I’m asked to provide equipment such as Computers, Printers etc I will ask for payment in advance.
